Our aim

This demo was built with accessibility basics in mind. This is a statement of what the site aims for. It is not a certification, and no claim of conformance to any standard is made here.

Basics built into this demo

• A skip link to jump straight to the main content.
• Semantic landmarks: header, navigation, main, and footer regions.
• Keyboard-reachable navigation, menu, links, and form fields.
• Visible focus styles on links, buttons, and inputs.
• Descriptive labels on call buttons and on the mobile menu button.
• Descriptive alt text on every job photo, written from the photo itself, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
• Colour contrast chosen for readability, and no information conveyed by colour alone.
• One main heading per page with headings in order.
• Reduced-motion preference respected.

Known limits

• This is a demo. It has not been through a full accessibility audit.
• The horizontal photo strip on the home page scrolls sideways; all of its photos are also reachable by keyboard.
